Students' Evaluation in Math PRSD VC

As indicated in the pdf fileMath 31 VC course outline (pdf document), students will be evaluated on the basis of their performance on five written unit tests (62%), a final exam (30%) a number of quizzes (to be announced as time goes on) and a number of assignments. The quizzes and assignments will, together, be valued at 8%.

  2. Review Assignment 1.2 - due March 1
  3. Review Assignment 2.1 - due March 13
  4. Review Assignment 2.2 - due April 1
  5. Review Assignment 2.3 - due April 10
  6. Review Assignment 3.1 - due April 24
  7. Review Assignment 3.2 - due May 3
  8. Review Assignment 4.1 - due May 16
  9. Review Assignment 4.2 - due May 24
  10. Review Assignment 5.1 - due June 14

Quizzes: These will be listed here when they are scheduled.

  1. Quiz 1.1 - 20 February 2019 - basic principles
  2. Quiz 1.2 - 25 February 2019 - power rule and product rule
  3. Quiz 1.3 - 27 February 2019 - quotient rule and chain rule
  4. Quiz 1.4 - 1 March 2019 - implicit differentiation and tangent line equation

Unit exams will constitute the largest part of students' evaluation. Students will need to be very prepared for these! The schedule for these is:

Sample exams will be available and posted for each unit as the time for the exam approaches.

Students are allowed to have a graphing calculator for their exams as well as a formula sheet written in each student's own handwriting.
